Billing
Module
The Billing Module (along
with
the Lineitems
database)
is the financial center of PracticeMaker®. Although
context sensitive Help is
available throughout this module, the help system is NOT a replacement
for
reading and fully
understanding
these sections. Read everything
carefully and follow the
examples closely, especially
about posting payments. Before entering ANY
charges there must be look-up information in ALL of the other modules,
including:
- Procedures-enter
your usual fees for all your procedures
- Diagnosis-select
the ones that are part of your "pick list"
- Insurances-enter
your most common carriers
- Coverages-this
is where patient insurance information is stored
New invoices are started from within the Patients Module
by going to the Billing tab for that patient!
